My mother calls me every Sunday to find out what’s new and how the family is doing.  
Invariably I wind up telling her about movies I’ve seen, TV shows I’ve watched and things of that nature.
  For a while she’s been telling me I should start my own blog.  She thinks people want to read what I have to say, I think she just wants me to bore someone other than her.

So here it is.

I wanted to title it something suitably geeky, but everything I’d hoped to use had already been taken by domain squatters.  I didn’t think a hobby like this would be worth investing the moneys they were asking. I had already decided to start every article with the phrase “The other day I”, so after a while I gave up and used the phrase for the name as well.

The plan is not to bore you with the minutia of my life, but to start a dialogue on things that interest me. Movies, TV shows, Books, Comic books, Games, Food, Music, that kind of thing.
